In the late 80‘s and ealry 90’s, the Nimslo 3D and the Nishika N8000 became popular quadrascopic film cameras, for their ability to show photos on lenticular paper. Despite their initual popularity, sales soon declined due to expensive film processing, long wait times, and poor build quality. Given new technology, I’m constructing a camera called Parallax –– sold for its capabilities to take 3D “wiggle” photos, opening a new door for creative expression and photography. Being digital, Parallax’s updates will allow its user to take stereoscopic video for Apple’s Vision Pro and Meta’s Quest headsets, beginning to build the future of immersive video.
