PUMPKIN KNIGHT

2025
October of 2025 was pumpkin mania. In the first days, I bootstrapped a seasonal porch-decoration company called Portland Pumpkins. While buying hundreds of pumpkins a day, I stumbled onto a patch selling 130lb+ prize-winners for $30 each. I bought three.

I didn’t know exactly what I’d do with them yet, but one thing was clear in my head, I had to wear one. As Halloween approached, I carved one until it fit around my torso. The idea felt halfway there, until it clicked: if the pumpkin was body armor, it needed a helmet... a knight’s helmet. After several attempts, I carved one that worked.

I filmed a short series of videos in the woods. The first reached 450k views, the second 1.4M, and the final pumpkin knight video has since surpassed 11M views.
