In the first days of October 2025, I bootstrapped a seasonal porch-decoration company called Portland Pumpkins. I built the website, ran Facebook ads, and spent late nights dropping flyers on every doorstep in my neighborhood. Orders started coming in, and soon I was buying hundreds of pumpkins a day, decorating clients’ entryways, and offering removal after the season.
The business was a crash course in moving fast—building, launching, and product shipping within days, then fulfilling real clients at scale.
